Help with display

Help with display

2005-04-11 by adolfo dias

Greetings list, long time since my last post, but now I come for your expert help.
My SD-1 display, after about 10 minutes of working time, goes out. I can't read anything on it, but if I press it in some points, it will show up again but goes out in a matter of seconds.
Does anyone know if this can be fixed?
TIA for any advice,

Sandro Santos

simply pop the hood and see if the wire connector going from the main
board to the display is loose.

Hi there, thank you for your reply.
Is there any service guide or hints about opening it?
I really don't make any mistake. When you say hood you
mean the plastic display protector of the whole
keyboard?
Sorry if this question is dumb, but I really don't
want to make any bad move on it.

TIA,

Ya it's simple just take out the four set screws on the top panel, there are two on each end of the panel. Once the screws are removed simply lift the panel up, it is hinged to the back so it opens like a door. You will clearly see the connector going to the display.
