Hi Susanne!
This shop in London could be what you were looking for. At least, if U call them up, they should be able to tell You where there might be a repair shop near you, that can fix the VFXer (Long Live!!)
IF You know a friend that knows a little about electronics, he might be able to help You if You show him the repair file from ther files section.
PS: I\ufffdve been using my VFX-SD1 since 1990 on stage, at home, got the same problem, but since I\ufffdve been in to electronics AND music of course, since God knows when, I got it running again - now being 16!
