Looking to buy (rare and hard to find) RAM cartridge for Ensoniq VFX- SD, VFX or SD-1. Only found one on eBay in 2 years. If anyone here has one or more they want to sell, please contact me. I prefer PayPal. Thanks, Dave drodgers99@...

If you can find an original Ensoniq ROM cart, there's this option I wrote up a while back: "Making an EEPROM Cartridge" http://www2.pro-ns.net/~steve/vfxcart.html I do have to say I changed my mind about whether to recommend putting in a socket, though. Last year I forgot to put the cartridge where I usually pack it, and just put it in my pocket for a few days. I ended up zapping the memory part. Because I used a socket, I just popped in a new chip and I was up and running again... --> Steve -- Steve Wahl steve@... Fools ignore complexity. Pragmatists suffer it. Some can avoid it. - Hello Ensoniq users, How about maybe getting together a list of sounds, programs and other cool patches to share? Maybe we can start a shareware list? I have come across some pretty cool sounds and have some old Transoniqe Hackers issues from the 90's. There are some programs in there for some really cool sounds that you can program, if you have the patience. It would be nice to be able to download from this site some patches, or programs to share with others. But if we are going to do this, maybe you can share some of yours as well if you have any. These keyboards are very versatile and have some awesome sounds, hopefully we can start a catalogue of sounds available here on this site if it would allow. Does this site have the capability to do so? I would like to get the upgrade chip that allows you to use more polyphonics. Sometimes my memory runs out and some of the instruments drop out. I have not downloaded any sounds from the net, but would like to try it sometime. Can we do this with a 3.5 floppy? thanks Ed -- In Ensoniq-VFX-SD@yahoogroups.com, "David A Rodgers" <drodgers99@...> wrote: > > Looking to buy (rare and hard to find) RAM cartridge for Ensoniq VFX- > SD, VFX or SD-1.
