For the polyphony upgrade, the chip is not enough :( You need a new "motherboard" as well....

Hello Ensoniq users, How about maybe getting together a list of
sounds, programs and other cool patches to share? Maybe we can start a
shareware list? I have come across some pretty cool sounds and have
some old Transoniqe Hackers issues from the 90's. There are some
programs in there for some really cool sounds that you can program, if
you have the patience. It would be nice to be able to download from
this site some patches, or programs to share with others. But if we
are going to do this, maybe you can share some of yours as well if you
have any. These keyboards are very versatile and have some awesome
sounds, hopefully we can start a catalogue of sounds available here on
this site if it would allow. Does this site have the capability to do
so? I would like to get the upgrade chip that allows you to use
more polyphonics. Sometimes my memory runs out and some of the
instruments drop out. I have not downloaded any sounds from the net,
but would like to try it sometime. Can we do this with a 3.5 floppy?

thanks
Ed

BTW: Sharing sounds would be nice. If each one in here took one of their favorite homemade sounds, and wrote on a patchsheet and post it here - nice :) If anyone wants a Word Doc Sheet for VFX/SD please let me know ;)

I would like to have the Word Doc as well to post some sounds I have
made. To make things easier for you Claus, maybe you could post the
doc into the files section of our group site for at-will retreival by
all group members.
I transferred some sounds over from my SQ2 32-voice to the VFX and
some of them are quite good. Of course, the max voices that any of
those sounds would use is 3, since the SQ series only could use 3 at
a time. They are still good though.
Additionally, I picked up an SQ1+ 32-voice as well from a semi-local
store the other day for only $80 USD. It was quite a deal and it
works great. Now I have 4 Ensoniq boards in my studio and I am
pleased as punch about that. Two VFX-SD units, an SQ1+ 32-voice and
an SQ2 32-voice (among the 3 Roland JV-880 units, Roland D-110 unit,
Yamaha TG-33, Roland XP-60, Alesis QS6 and E-mu PK-6. I have
certainly run out of inputs on the miers now :)

Well, that's all for now, have a good weekend, all.

Youre right about that one. It was there. Also the EDE+Images got moved/deleted so I posted it some time ago - still there ;) So let's try. I have a PatchSheet ready before the Weekend, and will put iot in the Files section :)

This sounds good, I did this about 5 years ago and made sections for sound and presets so everyone could share their sounds but somebody in charge of the site removed everything never explaining why. Try again good luck.

Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1ยข/min.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
