Solved problems

Solved problems

2006-10-14 by dariusmidi

Hello everybody,

I haved some problems on my VFX, and I solved them.
Now, I want to provide some, maybe helpfull informations to other
members.
I read on the net about problems like system crashes and error
messages that i have too on my VFX, and many comments about that like
electro-static discharge etc. But i find some other cause of this
problems. That is bad factory solderings on VFX's motherboard. I find
and solved two of them:

1. on midi connectors and
2. power plug on motherboard,

I resoldered this connections and problems is disepeared but if you
enough patient and have enough time, good idea is to re-soldering
carefully all connections on the motherboard.

Battery replacement:

From old PC computer motherboard I disassemble battery layer, and
placed them very easy on VFX motherboard (pin distance is the same).
This will enable to use standard-"button" baterry type for
replacement. I think, in my VFX now is Panasonic 3V CR2032 battery,
that works very good.

CAUTION: When soldering battery layer, TAKE CARE ABOUT
POLARISATION !!!

NOTE: I DON'T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR
DURING OR AFTER THIS REPAIRS. ALL THIS YOU DOING ON YOUR OWN RISK !!!

Best regards,

Dariusmidi.
