Re: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] Re: Had VFX & now an SD-1... ...question on differences I hear & feel....

The KPC number is the keybords version number. It's located under the keyboard in it's own EPROM together with (I think it is) a 8032-something CPU. Remember, the keyboard is both contact-less & POLY aftertouch, which at the time of the VFX probably demanded it's own computer-board.
I don't think the KPC and the OS needs to follow each other ie. a version 3 OS could use Your keyboard too. Please correct if I'm wrong ;)

Thanks Gordon !
My ROM=4.20....I presume that is the OS version that is loaded into
EEPROM for the SD-1...making it up-to-date....but what is the KPC number?
Thanks
