Computer System and SD-1 Midi

Computer System and SD-1 Midi

2008-05-27 by tedstruk

I have gone to great expense to set up my SD-1 midi and a computer with
a special software so that I can continue my composing and arranging.
I have an e-machines 466 with a music creator 2 by cakewalk, connected
with a midi adapter to the midi system in the e-machine. I have not
been able to record anything, or use the SD-1 with the program. I can
turn the volume of the SD-1 up and down with the computer controls, but
I have not been able to get it to record a track.
WHAT AM I DOING ? WHAT CAN I DO? and the infamous "WHEN I GET THIS TO
WORK, THAT DAY WILL LIVE ...."
geeze... its got to be me... oh its gotta be me....

Quickly guys... how many cables does it take to hook up a midi system?

I gave this careful consideration a while back. I believe that
regardless of the number of units you have, you just have to
count the number of midi IN jacks (ignoring OUT and THRU), and
you will never need more cables than that.

However, at least one cable will always be at least 3 inches too
short. Round up to 8 cm if you're in one of *those* parts of
the world.
