Looking for freeware program to create a file image of a VFX floppy

Looking for freeware program to create a file image of a VFX floppy

2002-02-19 by roidelaplage

Hi,

We all know Giebler EDE software and the process of loading from
floppy, then saving as SysEx on the PC.
Now the situation is: my VFX is dead but floppies are still
containing PRECIOUS sounds ! I want to share those sounds with the
community and get someone to sample them for me.

Question: Is there a freeware that can make a file image of the VFX
floppies ? MaxiDisk for i.e. ?

It's too bad though because the floppy disk structure is well
described (even with source code !!) and I believe it would take a
programmer half a day to create a DiskImage program for the VFX (as
it exists for the Korg 01w for i.e).

Hi Fred,
I'm sorry about your synth but as you say, if you want you can send me the
files with the sounds to upload to my site "Neopatches", so any user may
sample them for you.
If seem OK, just send me the files and I'll upload to the site.
Regards,
Fabio

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
