OS prob

OS prob

2012-03-22 by samuel brannon

I have an SD-1 32 that says that the OS is not compatible when I try to reload the sequencer. I've re-initialized it by holding the preset button and then the upper left soft button. The rest of the info on the floppy loads, so, the disc is okay. I have two disc and both give the error message. Help. Craig

are you sure the sequencer OS version is compatible with the ROM firmware version of the keyboard ?

Are you sure the sequencer part of the disk is intact? Possibly it's corrupt. Do you have a backup of the OS disk to try?

Have you solved the problem yet?

This may sound stupid but did you try re-initializing it by actually turning it off for about 15 seconds? (I'm grasping at straws here.) I have to re-initialize one of mine in that manner once in a while because the "soft re-initialize" does not work. I don't actually have to wait 15 seconds but thought it may help in your case.
