SD-1 Parts Help

SD-1 Parts Help

2013-04-17 by jeffnshannon@sbcglobal.net

I acquired an SD-1 that needs repair, so I ordered the service manual for it (hoping to look at the schematic to find the values of several resistors that were blown beyond recognition). When I received the manual, I discovered there was no schematic or parts list included. I called the nice gentleman I purchased it from (at Syntaur), and he informed me that Ensoniq never issued any schematics to anybody. Apparently, repair techs were instructed to send the faulty board in to the factory for replacement if a problem existed. So, with all of that out of the way, I am asking if someone (with an SD-1) would be kind enough to look inside theirs and tell me the values of R6, R7, R118, and R119. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

The only guy on the planet with schematics is:

To the best of my knowledge (looking at an actual motherboard):

  R6 = Red Black Brown = 200 1/4W
  R7 = Red Red Brown = 220
  R118 = Red Black Brown = 200 1/4W
  R119 = Red Black Brown = 200 1/4W

R6, R118 and R119 all look identical and are a bit larger than R7, they have to be able to handle a bit more power (1/4 W).

Best wishes,

// Christian

Thank you, Christian! That's just what I needed! Sorry about the multiple posts everyone.....there were problems with the site when I posted (it kept timing out).
