Will have to check, but IIRC there should be a thin layer of black foam between the plastic buttons and the switches on the circuit board. Maybe this is worn out, or has not been replaced (very common problem: take out 10 pieces, only put 9 back!!) Bill

Thanks I'll check that out. I have not taken to board loose, so I'll have to look. My guess is that it's worn out. Any suggestions as to what to repair it with? -- Jim
