no outputs working VFX-SD

Hello, I bought a VFX-sd and it will not play sounds out of any of the outputs not even the headphones. I get low batt. when I turn it on but I don't think this would effect the outputs would it? Any help...PLEASE email me at, grocechris@... Thanks -Chris
