Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

I realize that we all may need help but I have a problem with my VFX-SD. I found it and bought it a great price. It worked fine when I got it with the factory patch.. From there I purchased the upgrade for the sequencer. I loaded it and all worked good. I never saved the factory patch so I lost them but I have what was on the disc that I purchased. That 's fine and a lesson learned. After working with for a couple of days I left it. When I got back to it I turned it on and all I got on the menu screen were several of the leds on either end lit up with none of the regular start up menus. The battery is a newer version, not the coin type and is at 2.8-2.9 volts. I've carefully opened the keyboard area up and cleaned it out of all the dust and dust balls. I've removed the keyboard and moved the chips around to make sure they have seated properly. I still get nothing. Does anyone out there have a clue as to what is going on in the keyboard?? Any help or thoughts will be gratefully appreciated.
