Ensoniq SD-1 eprom/os version 4.1

Ensoniq SD-1 eprom/os version 4.1

2015-02-26 by boneheaddap@...

My Ensoniq SD1 has EPROM/OS version 3.0. I was wondering changes were made with the last installment; Eprom/OS version 4.1.

Other than a broken data slider (soon to be replaced) and a well past its anticipated life battery (also soon to be replaced) he unit has not given me any troubles!!!

Hi,
Basically a few bug fixes and the Swing Quantize function in the sequencer. Have 3.0 myself, and runs pretty smooth, if one don't change menus tooo fast (wait till display flashes ;) )

Best,
Claus

Would it be WORTH IT to upgrade? It's only about $50.00 and it is something I could do myself. I've opened the SD and identified the chips to be replaced. They are socketed (vs. soldered).

I always like having the latest firmware even if I don't know what the upgrade entails as long as no one says that it's broken. That way when it crashes I don't have this lingering doubt "is it my fault for not upgrading?" Mostly psychological. Unless swing quantize is just an absolute must for you...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
