Is there anyone on the list who might have a low cost SD-1 for sale. If so
please contact me off list.

Blessings,

Vince

Will the VFX-SD play sequences created on an SD-1. This is critical as I
have hundreds of sequences that I use at church that I don't want to have
to redo. I also have a TS-10, but that doesn't play the SD-1 sequences.

Vince

Yes it does Vince,

I also have sound disk that can be loaded in the
VFX-SD....they are SD-1 disks

I would like to add though, the VFX-SD will play sequences from an SD-1, but
there are some sounds that were only available on the SD-1 (due to the more
complex waveforms) and therefore the sequences may not play right....

Good point David,

I can copy my sequences in real time to my TS-10, but all the sounds are
different and everything will have to be reworked.

Vince

Vince, remember that you can always go back to some veyr old but reliable
softrware to convert sequences from one Ensoniq format to another Ensoniq format.
The software has been out there for years, called Giebler conversion
software, allowing you to make Standard Midi files of your Ensoniq TS sequences, and
then turn them into VFX or SD sequences using the DOS conversion disk manager
stuff from Giebler. One of the companies marketing the Giebler programs is
Music Mansion. See the link below. Warmly yours, Frank Fortunato

This is an interesting thread because you see so many
different taste !!

Here are my favorites :
* In-Concert : thought I couldn't find a better
Piano+Strings after the D70 PianoStr patch but this
In-Concert patch is REALLY kicking !
* PPG-Like : of course the flanger does a lot !
* BrasStab : still one of the best brass sound around
!
* WoodFlute : so close to the original !

I have an SD-1 I will soon be ready to sell. This is a VFX-SD that has been factory upgraded to full SD-1 specs (expanded Wave ROM and 75K note sequencer).
Please email me privately at gregconrad@... to discuss.
Greg

I would be interested to know the details. The only thing that would
concern me is if the unit had some problems with freezing up etc. as I use
the SD-1 to lead worship in my church.

Re: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] SD-1

Hey everyone,

Is there any SD-1 gurus out there? I recently purchased it and I've been
having a blast banging out 80's dance songs with it.
My question is, are there any resources for additional sounds? Perhaps it
can load another keyboards sounds? (wishful thinking)
Really any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Michael
