I believe that the MIDI implementation is the same for
all of the VFX's from the VFX-SD on.  The MIDI is
integral to the sequencer OS.  The overall capability
is as a 12-channel multi-timbre synth.  This is where
the 32 voice mod comes in handy.

Frank,
I believe what you say. However, I cannot find any documentation how e.g. to
control the sequencer via sysex commands. In the VFX manual there were
details on 'virtual buttons' and all the parameters in sysex dumps...
Nothing like this for the SD/SD1
