The Eagle software looks good. 
I gave it a quick try but cannot print a board design with out the 
silkscreen type image of the IC's etc.. Is it possible to just print 
the traces and pads with the freeware version or am I just not doing 
something right?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
