Okay, I see the point about speed and repeatability being good motivation to re-invent the wheel on making PCB boards. What about an alternate use for the inkjet system? If for example you put a hypothetical two-part etchant in the cyan and yellow ink tanks, then printed the negative areas in green, you could print the etchant right on the PCB. I speak with the wisdom of ignorance: I don't know what the various etchants are, so I am free from all those pesky details. The great thing, of course, would be printing a catalyst solution on the board, so that when you drop it in the etchant those areas etch faster.
