Homebrew PCBs

I went ahead and picked up the reynolds foil, and comparing it to the
transparency sheets I had (and the slick backing paper with those) it
did very well. even with my okipage 4W I got an acceptable PCB, and
it's needed a new drum for about 4,000 pages. A little patching up
with a sharpie was necessary but definitely not the fault of the
transfer medium, my printer simply leaves streaks and light spots. I
had no problems at all etching with HCl+H2O2 solution. I did wipe with
denatured alcohol before etching but that's it. 

I am more than pleased - for $3.29 I can make my 3 PCB's and bake some
potatoes :) I did notice one thing, not a gripe though: with the foil,
after printing with my printer set to the darkest setting, I ended up
with too much toner and it would squeeze out a little and a few very
close traces ran together. I just gently scraped a path between and it
came out fine. Surprisingly, the stamped-in logo on the foil didn't
affect the transfers adversely.
