Re: Wooden CNC router (CNC from scratch)

2006-12-10 by derekhawkins

I went the "CNC from scratch" route about six years ago. Yes, with
simple tools like a drill press, a sander and some machinery savy, one
can make something decent and useable. It was a learning experience and
I fell in love with "black Delrin". Here's a small gallery devoted to
this work that may be useful;

Would I take this approach again? No! My advice to anyone interested in
CNC would be to get as much already constructed off-the-shelf unless
the learning experience is of paramount importance.
