Normal solvents (acetone) will not cut it, but printer cleaner with ammonia in it does get rid of most of it. The printer electronics work just fine as they are. Remember they put through a non-trivial amount of data, and timing is critical as anything, it would not be as easy to control as a CNC machine by far. ST
