Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Colour Laser Printer for toner transfer ?

2007-02-17 by Dale J. Chatham

I have used a black laser for pcb work. The registration wasn't great
and the image had 'waves' of non-linearity.

Color works the same way. I would think that if you printed black
nothing would be the wiser and I'd be surprised if color didn't work.

All have toner which consists of pigment and plastic microspheres. The
fuser heats and melts the plastic, which holds the toner.

Toner transfer melts theplastic again and causes it to adhere to the
copper. The color is insignificant, unless it requires less/more heat
or somehow doesn't adhere as well.

Let us know :)
