Eagle part placement crosshairs,, help!!!

2007-07-14 by timbomcnuckle

Sorry for the dramatic title(!!!) but I am having a bummer problem
that is holding me up and definitely stupid.

Is there a way to get rid of the tiny 'crosshairs' that automatically
are placed when one uses a lib part under Eagle? They are causing my
printed layouts to have an unwanted 'trace'- which I imagine would be
lost in etching but don't want to take the chance. The part itself is
obviously very small else I wouldn't be having this issue, but here I am.

 - rather small package DFN10, so difficult to proto. I made a small
'breakout' board to pin the device out to a DIL10. These 'crosshairs'
are only showing one very small amount of a line but comes very close
to shorting the VCC to GND.

I'm also noticing a lot of other small errors in the layout when it
is this small and printed (to a file or paper), but I guess that is
the price to pay for DIY?

Anyone know how I can get rid of the placement crosshair? Just print
the layout under the lib editor?
