I've tried laying down the ink with a canon i560 onto plastic sheets to evaluate the extent of the wetness of the ink after the print and found that that is not an issue. There is plenty of time available to apply the toner. I found that the exit feed rolls could compromise the wet ink image and so think that a modification to the printer is needed to prevent any part of the feed mechanism touching the wet ink. I needed something to clean the hi gloss plastic sheets before printing otherwise the ink would puddle. I found a citrus based cleaner did a fine job and is worth trying on copper. Warren
