Homebrew PCBs

I see in this photo album posted by "dhcwat" a converted scanner.

Nice looking unit. 

This kind of device has been discussed here before and I have been put off creating a similar device by the apparent time it should take to get an exposure as boards get larger in the scan direction.

Could "dhcwat" post his experience with this device.
