PCB eyelets were very popular 40 years ago before through-hole plating 
became commonplace, and were reliable enough. When  I worked for Rank-Xerox 
they were used on all the PCBs in the copiers we made.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
