I was able to find a used HP LaserJet 4050TN on Craigslist for $70.  Looks like the toner cartridge is brand new, and the seller gave me another spare.  Step one is complete. :-)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
