The plotter can be a simple xy - used ones with a resolution of .001 inch seem to be readily available. I doubt a 5 mW laser could remove paint off copper sheet. Maybe a 50 mW IR laser. This would be really tough to focus and set up safely. Also, even a 50 mW laser would probably be really slow. Jon
