Perhaps some are mfd better than others or you got a defective one out of the box? Fwiw I have a cnc machine so I have a clue about accuracy. and when I first looked at a dremel brand stand I thought what a POS.. but surprisingly it works quite well. OR I got the only one that works. (Though,probably not the case.. my luck is'nt that good) 2cents. Sam
