One advantage of using UV leds is they have a specific (and usually narrow) field of view, so it's trivial to work out the actual minimum height needed given the separation from led to led. I have from memory about 22cm height on my current LED rig, quite perhaps high but I used fewer leds spaced farther apart. The disadvantage, soldering all those leds. Ugh! I did see somebody had used an LED strip tape once which had UV leds on it, but havn't been able to find led strip tape in UV myself.
