Homebrew PCBs

Hello...

After reading DLP_Genesis I'm in doubt what carrier is used?
Is it plain aluminum or epoxy coated (insulated) aluminum.

I was thinking to make some slide for carrier so it can't slip sideways. 
(for easy double sided registration...)

And the drum fragility issue. As I understand the leading edge is taped 
and tape itself provide some protection. But you leave other 3 edges as 
is or it's sanded (beveled) to protect drum?

As much I read more question pop out... ehhhh...
