Ancel, I have converted both inkjet and laser printers to print resist directly on copper boards. I once spent 6 weeks or so trying to convert a wax printer for pcb use. Aside from the path, these things are massively large and heavy, get very hot, have a lot of parts and subsections that must work correctly to make a print, and are very difficult to work on. I finally gave up, and I don't give up that easily.
