Homebrew PCBs

Bought a whack of this on ebay.. I'm just wanting to check.. is it intended
that you print on the dull side or glossy?  Thinking it was like press n
peel, I tried first on the dull side, but adhesion was minimal.  Then I
tried dull side.. much better.  But still missing some fine traces.
