It depends on which Windows OS you have and what the specific pdf format is.
You'll have to do a bit of experimenting for the answer to the latter question. (Make a backup of your original pdf first!)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
