Yes, anyone can. However I prefer them in the Files area. Please create a folder if an appropriate one doesn't already exist, I don't like loads of files in the Root as it gets hard to scan through them. I prefer descriptive names for the folders rather than your name. ;') After all, the files you upload will have your name. Give the folder a name like "Toner Transfer Samples". This is not a hard and fast rule, just my preference. Please use JPG for photos, a reasonable size. There is limited storage space. GIF is good for lineart at 4 colors or less. Other stuff, well, it depends on what it is. Obviously you can't upload an Eagle PCB file as a JPG or GIF. ;') I don't like the Photos section because it resizes everything to no more than 300x400. You can upload it larger, but only me (the moderator) and the uploader can see the large version. Everyone else is limited to the 300x400 version. You must be logged in to upload anything. Anyone can also add Links, too. Search the archives for "file post" or "file upload" (without the quotes) as this was just discussed a few weeks ago.
