Homebrew PCBs

I coat 112 doublesided 6X9 boards with 1 100ft roll of negative laminate film. Costs about $100 per roil including shipping, I get boards for $2.25 , so to me - a coated board costs $3.15 each, Factor in the laminator (which should be a natural upgrade path for those switching from TT) with say a life of 10,000 boards @$0.03 each, A bottle of denatured alcohol, a spray bottle, a squeegee, and a razor knife. Still way under $4.00 a board.

The processing chems are cheap too. 
A Tub of developer is $6.00 (sodium bicarbonate from pool supply - enough for 2000 boards)  and stripper is $4.00 (red devil lye - enough for about 100 boards)

  My question is what are the things one looks for in a photo resist ?

  dyed ?
  positive ?
  cost ? availability ?

  What is available in the States at a reasonable cost ? and is that 
  better then buying pre-coated boards ?

  There was a gentleman on here that offered me coated boards last 
  year, but never offered prices.

  I am still mechanically etching, but after seeing that T-Tech go on E-
  bay for $$$$ I may sell mine and buy Ballendos unit.
