I have a milliohm meter already, so i don't miss that (and it would be useless for motor-resistance anyway because of the ac signal, which is what i need milliohm measured most often). ESR is only "good" or "bad", so i find the analog meter has plenty of resolution and allows quick reading. I guess both do a similar job. ST
