Ink for etch resist?

Ink for etch resist?

2006-03-08 by lcdpublishing

Hi Group,

I just tried a number of different searches to find and old thread (I
believe it was in this group) discussing Ink to use for etch resist.
The original poster was looking for Sharpie Ink and couldn't get it in
small qty. Someone suggested another type of ink that works and that
you can get in small bottles. Does anyone remember what this ink is
and where to get it?

Thanks

Chris

You can get staedtler red ink in refill containers.
But really most laquers and some inks will work, like machinists blue
etc...

I didn't think about machinist's bluing - I have a lot of that
around here. The next time I am at the Art store I will pick some
red Staedtler ink too.

Thanks Stefan!

You can get Pilot permanent marker ink in small bottles that works as
an etch resist.

http://www.pilotpen-store.com

Other places carry it too, Froogle >pilot permanent marker refill<.
