Commercial Ads on the list Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] RE: Request to join Homebrew_PCBs approved

2003-04-16 by Steve Greenfield

I was looking forward to having a pro on the list, but not just so
you could send an ad as your first message.

This is not a list for individual companies to send out ads- there
is a Links area for Commercial sites. This list is for the
discussion of Homebrew PCBs. I would prefer to see 3rd part
referrals or at least see you take part in the discussions before
posting about your own services.

Of course, this is just my opinion. How does everyone else feel?

Dear Steve:

That is not ad, that is a self introduction, that is the normal polite
to say hello to others.

But the problem is: why I just send out 1 massage, the group shows 3?

Best regards

Welcome and multiple replies

2003-04-16 by Steve Greenfield

Ah! Good! I am glad to see that you didn't just post and then go
away. Welcome to the list. One of the things that makes me worry is
when someone replies to the confirmation message as their first
post- makes it look like you have a 'bot sending email.

You got 3 messages because you sent one to the list, and two to
yourself. No one else got 3 copies. I can see it in the header to
your message.

My back has been sore lately.
I would be happy with receiving just 1 massage. :P

Thanks your help, the bottom sending email comes from default signature.

Do you mean I have to take it off every time when I send massage to
group? Is it not allow here?

Best regards

Steve:

If you start breaking the rules, where will it stop?

I sort of like things the way they are. (Sounds like a song.)
