Homebrew PCBs

Along the lines of my last post has anyone tried the thermal transfer 
inks that they use on professional CDs. I'm not sure how much the 
printers are but I'm pretty sure the ink would be much tougher without 
the heating of inkjet ink. I think I'll mess with my Epson R200s CD 
tray a little and try it out. Does anyone know where to buy another in 
case I screw it up?

That sounds like two subjects. Thermal transfer CD printers don't use
inks, they use a wax/resin on a ribbon. So there is nothing to try in
an Epson.

Someone did try, the problem seems to be that the copper has too high
a heat capacity and so the head can't get hot enough. And, these
printers are generally only 200 or 300dpi.

I guess my post was a little unclear. I was going to mess with the 
Epsons CD tray in the inkjet mode not thermal tranfer. I did see a 
thermal at 600 X 300 dpi but that isn't even close to a inkjet.
