Pulsar paper doesn't work with Samsung ML-2010

Pulsar paper doesn't work with Samsung ML-2010

2006-11-04 by schabtach

Just a heads-up in hopes of saving someone else from wasting their
money like I just did: Pulsar Toner Transfer System paper doesn't work
in my Samsung ML-2010 laser printer. The toner doesn't bond to the
paper and lots of flakes get deposited on the paper "downstream" from
the image. I sent email to Pulsar but since it's the weekend I don't
expect to hear back from them for awhile. I'm guessing that this is
the same problem as with Brother printers described on their site, but
I don't actually know.

In the Database section of the group site, there is a file there just
for results like this. Please consider adding your experience to the file.

I have a Samsung ML-1710 and I've been getting excellent results. I
use only factory original cartridges; no refills.

Interesting. I'm not using a refilled cartridge either; in fact, it's
the original cartridge.

Add your entry to the already existing database.

Have you tried with an HP? Just wondering, I'm about to order some of
the pulsar and green foil to try, but it'll be on a HP laser w/refilled
toner though.

So far on the Press n' peel white, I get decent boards, but I run them
thru a GBC 200 and a clothes iron - combo. Works with the photo paper I
get from (work) it's 80# stuff not glossy, 10mil traces are ok but big
ground planes are so - so, smaller boards come out great.2 1/2 x 2
1/2 size.

If you have any left over and don't want the rest of the Pulsar, I'll
buy it off of you to try out on the HP at work.
