I was actually thinking of designing one, if you can't find anything
suitable. It'd use a small PIC and a couple of LED displays, with a
push-button or two for setting the time. The internal oscillator is good for
1%, so it won't need a crystal.

Hi Leon
Well if you would like to design one that would be great!!
look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks

There was a nice set of plans in September 2007 issue of Everyday
Practical Electronics magazine Vol.36 No.9. It was called a
"Programmable Flextimer". Uses a PIC16F84A. The .hex file is available
from their WEBsite; no source though 8:(. It was a reprint from
silicon chip magazine.

and there is a simplified version of that particular timer in the
current June issue of Silicon Chip. Only available as kit from Jaycar
Electronics though and if similar to the situation with their other
recent kits, published many months before kits actually become available.

And here is the link to Jaycar's flexitimer:

   Flexitimer
<http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=KA1732&CATID=25&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=335>

All you might need to do (depending on your exposure box) is arrange
for 12-15V DC and/or a heavier duty relay to switch the power to the UV
source.
