Eagle Cad Pricing

Eagle Cad Pricing

2011-02-14 by Randy S.

Am I misreading or do I have to but one of the more
expensive versions of EAGLE CAD to do a 4 X 10 board?
Might have to lay it out by hand .. or is there other software
out there good enough to do a 4 KV Power Supply diode full
wave bridge board ? I was only going to buy the 49.00 version.
But I guess we are limited to small boards?

Unfortunately no.
But there is a script that will convert eagle libs to kicad ones.

There is an online library of converted eagle libs here:
http://library.oshec.org/

There is a ton of info plus great support from the kicad users group at
Yahoo.

Don't add new libs to the same directory as the ones that come with
kicad.
Always make a new folder and put any new libs into it.
Then add the path of the new lib folder in the preferences under
eeschema.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
