I do like the "Next/Prev" and the thumbnails. However, my big problem
with the Photos folder is that only the uploader and the moderator can
see the full size if you upload a larger file.

In other words, while I can see (and really like the closeups) those
500K and 1.1Meg huge JPG pictures, no one else but the person who
uploaded it can see that. Everyone else sees only a small version, I
think 300x400 pixels is the max.

So if you upload to Photos and you want people to see a closeup, crop
in to about 300x400.

If I knew how to make Yahoogroups warn you of this when you are
uploading a Photo, I would.

That's a stunningly stupid decision on egroups/yahoo's part.  They create a 
Photos area so members can share images, allow people to upload large 
detailed images (taking more disk space than small images), and then almost 
nobody is allowed to see the detail.

In some other groups, people have adapted by putting their images into the 
Files section, and ignoring Photos.  You lose the visual browser, but everyone 
can get the full-resolution image files.

They did that for a selfish reason- you can buy prints of those
images, the high res is only for them to print, and only shows you the
low res so -you- can't print.

That's why I've tried very hard to get people to use Files instead of
Photos. Yahoogroups won't let me delete the Photos area or I would
have set it up that way.
