How many different kinds of toners are really used? i mean, do you refill all toners with the same stuff, or is there one type per brand, or model, or......? Especially, are there different toners used in hp and lexmark printers? thanks ST

where i get my toners from , there are different toners for different cartridges . i tried experimenting with different toners in different cartridges and there is a difference . different transfer rates and melting points . they formulate each toner to each cartridge . i hear they are working on or have a universal toner , but i will stick to the formulated toners for each cartridge . the density and yield i get now from the toners i use are equal to or better than the o.e.m . > > Hi frank, > > seeing that you have a great insight in the business, i'd have a question. > How many different kinds of toners are really used? i mean, do you refill > all toners with the same stuff, or is there one type per brand, or model, > or......? > > Especially, are there different toners used in hp and lexmark printers?

Hi Frank, How timely! I just trashed a remanufactured cartridge (the first I ever tried) from my HP 5P that worked for a good while but then started printing all black pages along with an occasional groaning sound. Putting an original but nearly depleted HP cartridge in gives a good print. Repeated swaps, same results. I'm just curious as to what failed to cause this condition. Thanks, Mike Nash ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frank & Marianne"Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 5:09 PM Subject: [Homebrew_PCBs] high quality low cost toner cartridges + free laser printer advice

it sounds like to me the drum wiper blade flipped and is not wiping the excess toner off the drum and is binding creating the groaning sound . turn the toner cartridge upside down with the part that goes in the printer first towards you . push aside the drum shutter so you see the drum .the drum should rotate towards you if it is binding push the drum gear away from you this should free the blade , then the drum should rotate freely toward you . then try it in the printer . --- In Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com, "Mike Nash" <mn.minilathe@m...> wrote: > Hi Frank, > > How timely! Thanks Frank. But as I said, I trashed it already. If it's not out to the street I may dig it out and check this but I mostly asked because I was curious. Hi Frank I am interested in the various melting points of various Toners , you wouldn't happen to have any Data Sheets etc on this ? My Laser Printer is a Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 and I would like to know if I can get a Darker Toner for it, It had recently run out of Toner so refilled it with Toner that was used in a Canon Photo Copier ...well it aint as dark as the Origional ...any suggestions ?? Thanks Thomas hello . my name is frank . i have been remanufacturing toner cartridges for hp laser printers going on 13 years now . i replace all wear related parts and fill them with the appropriate amount of toner . my cartridges meet or exceed o.e.m. cartridges . if anyone wants to save money on their toner cartridges let me know your model # . i also will give free advice for any laser printer problems . i also have been servicing laser printers going on 13 years now . i also have pre-owned laser printers available . thank you for your time . from , frank (the toner guy) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

i'll see what i can dig up as far as data sheets . copier toner and laser printer toner are two very different toners . i will see what toner cross references with your printer . all hp printers have canon based engines . i can get you the toner and most likely the toner cartridge . you will have to vacuum out the copier toner very well from your cartridge so there is none left to mix with the new toner . i'll email you after i research the info for you . from , frank --- In Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com, "Thomas" <teecee@c...> wrote: > Hi Frank > I am interested in the various melting points of various Toners , you wouldn't happen to have any Data Sheets etc on this ? > My Laser Printer is a Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 and I would like to know if I can get a Darker Toner for it, It had recently run out of Toner so refilled it with Toner that was used in a Canon Photo Copier ...well it aint as dark as the Origional ...any suggestions ?? > Thanks > Thomas > > > hello . my name is frank . i have been remanufacturing toner > cartridges for hp laser printers going on 13 years now . i replace > all wear related parts and fill them with the appropriate amount of > toner . my cartridges meet or exceed o.e.m. cartridges . if anyone > wants to save money on their toner cartridges let me know your model
