Thanks Phillip, I have accessed those ok so please ignore my earlier request 
for direct email. I guess if changing the gearing is looking too difficult, 
I should be able achieve similar results by controlling the motor speed. 
Did you notice whether the motor was AC or DC powered?

The motor is ac, there is probably a chance you could change the gear
on the motor but not mount the motor back in it's original location to
allow for larger or smaller gears. Maybe leave the motor gear there as
an idler and fit a new one to the motor of appropriate size.

Toay's local paper carries a full page advert for Officeworks, advertising 
the Ibico Pouchmaster 9 A4 Laminator for $149, a $100 discount.  If I recall 
my research of lte last year correctly, that is the equivalent to the CBC 
H200 on the Australian market, 2 hot rollers, 3 temperature settings. Sale 
ends on 30 June.  I will have to take a look at that one in the flesh before 
deciding on the $69.95 Post Office offering.

On the motor speed question i would be tempted to first try electronic 
control and resort to gear changing only if that failed to get an adequate 
speed reduction.

Those small geared motors are often AC syncronous.
You could try a "poor man's frequency converter" which basically allows a  
positive halfwave to go through, then waits, then lets a negative through,  
waits, positive, etc.. But usually they do not speed control without a  
frequency converter which is rather pricey even used.

Thanks for that tip.  Actually, the Ibico Pouchmaster A4 looks more like a 
GBC H300, on closer examination of the GBC homepage, although it is 
obviously sized to the A4 paper standard.  externally it looks about the 
same.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
