However, I find now that I actally don't use the backlight at all any more and just have an LED booklight above the screen instead. I have done the same with my Roland MV30, which had the same issue. The quality is very clear now, though I have put an RNLA compressor on the outputs to thicken the sound up a bit - works great. Steve
