14 Kawai K5000 "EAJ" Eat at Joe's Patch banks in KAA format

14 Kawai K5000 "EAJ" Eat at Joe's Patch banks in KAA format

2006-07-15 by fish2fish21227

I have just downloaded 14 KAA format K5000 banks to the files section
of KAWAI-K5000. To use these KAA files, download them to your PC
hard drive and then transfer them to your "A" drive using a diskette
formatted in your K5000 disk drive.

These sounds were painstakingly loaded one by one from K5000
diskettes into my K5000R. Then they were transferred one by one into
a Midiquest Library. Then the library was used to "build" Midiquest
K5000 patch banks. Then I sent the banks back to my K5000R to save
them as K5000 format KAA banks.

This is not a commercial for Midiquest but if you do get the next
update CD for Midiquest, you will find approximately 25 banks of
other K5000 sounds and the library that was used to build these KAA
banks on the CD. (Along with many, many patch banks for other synths).
Midiquest is the only Universal patch editor librarian currently
being supported for use on the PC operating system (including XP) and
I find it easier to use than Sound Diver. However, if you have Sound
Diver, you can join the Sound Diver Yahoo group and find the
original "Eat at Joe's" library in Sound Diver format in the files
section.

I hope you enjoy the sounds.

Tried this and it did not work. The K5000s
said that the file was 'not found' despite seeing
it on the FDisk?

I recall having to unzip the OS download directly
to a floppy (when I made myself new OS Floppies)
but not sure about these. Does one have to use a
specialy program under windows to accomplish this?

thanks!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
