The Kawai & Teisco Analog Synths Group

Hi all,

new member here. I'm interested in getting one of the SX synths, as an
addition to the Kawai XD-5, K4 and K5 synths I already own. 

As I understand, the SX-240 is basically an SX-210 with MIDI and a
different panel, right? Are there other differences? 

And the SX-400, is it a (mostly) fully analog version?

I'd prefer to get an SX-240 because of the (basic) MIDI support, but
if there are cool features I can find on one of the other synths, that
might change.

Hi!
It's getting harder to find them now.
SX-240 has 16 DCO's and SX-210 has 8 DCO's
So - it's different machines:)
MIDI on 240 as far as i know support only mono...
And almost every synth needs to be repaired..
Battery change and other things..
But them all - perfect sounding analog synths!

thanks for the information!  No problem if it's broken, as long as I 
don't need impossible to find custom components.

My 240 just arrived to its new owner today. Keep an eye on Ebay....they pop up occasionally. Maybe post on usenet group rec.music.makers.synth. Hi all, just

I would be the new owner.Your best luck is to search ebay now and 
then or here.I found mine here.There was a few 210's going around 
here a few months back.Only 240 I found was the one i bought.good 
luck and keep hunting.
