Please help: Recording noise...

2005-03-20 by sarahlogic

I upgraded from Logic Gold 6 (never had a problem there) to Logic Pro 7. Today I recorded
some vocal parts with a singer, and as I listen to the newly recorded audio tracks, they are
all filled with noise. (Sounds like a bonfire!)
It is not feeding nor is the signal too high. It is not my speakers, mixer or amp as I have
disconnected those and listened through my EMI soundcard AND the internal soundcard).
The noisy tracks still occur with both audiocards. Any ideas as to why ?

I record in AIFF, 16 bit, and use Logic Pro 7 with the newest drivers, my emagic A6/2, a
Mac G4 867 Mhz processor and 1024 RAM, I have three harddisks. One for my system
(OSX 10.3.5 and applications) 80 G, yet another one only for audiofiles from my
audiowindow (150 G) and the third is for my ESX24 mk II samples (120 G).

Can anybody help as I am getting really desperate here.... Is there anyway I can save my
recordings ?

Thank you.
Sarah...
